Have a small acreage? Just getting started with farming or homesteading? Or looking for creative ways to get more production and value from the land you have?

Join us Tuesday, August 4 from 7–9 PM for the first evening in PRFA’s August Grazing Series!

We’ll explore a small-scale operation that’s finding some pretty creative ways to stack crops and livestock on the same land base:

Integrating garlic into perennial forage

Grazing with beef cattle

Following with chickens using a self-moving Rova-Barn (mobile poultry barn designed to move easily across pasture to provide fresh grass and better manure distribution)

Incorporating pigs and cover crops

Using cover crops to provide additional livestock feed

Exploring value-added opportunities from cover crops and high-value crops

Informal and hands-on. Walk the site, see what’s being tried, talk directly with the producer and bring plenty of questions.
